👁️🗨️Overview
A Tesla Model X arrived at our service center with a non-functional right front headlight(Driver Side). The customer noted that the Daytime Running Light (DRL) and low beam on the driver's side were not working, while the passenger-side headlight was functioning normally. No warning lights or dashboard messages were present.
🔍 Symptoms & Visual Findings
Right headlight (DRL and low beam) completely off
No dashboard warning lights or fault codes
Left headlight operating normally
High beam function was not tested

🧪 Diagnostic Procedure
Our technicians team performed the following steps:
Tested voltage at the right headlight connector
Verified continuity from the Body Control Module (BCM) to the headlight harness
Checked resistance and grounding path
Performed DTC scan of BCM system
🔧Findings:
No voltage output at headlight connector
BCM confirmed to be delivering signal correctly
Open circuit detected between BCM and headlight
Headlight assembly itself verified to be functional

🛠️ Repair Process
After isolating the issue to the harness, we performed the following repairs:
Located and repaired a damaged wire segment inside the front body harness
Cleaned and reseated the BCM connector to ensure contact reliability
Power cycled the vehicle to reset control signals
Verified voltage output at the connector post-repair

✅ Post-Repair Verification
Both DRL and low beam now fully operational
No residual DTCs present in the BCM system
Visual symmetry restored to the front lighting system
Customer satisfied with the restored lighting performance
